Telehealth Monitering

Telehealth is an in-home monitoring system designed to communicate medical information (blood pressure, weight, oxygen levels, blood sugars, etc. ) to a patient’s homecare nurse. Those patients diagnosed with asthma, heart disease, COPD, diabetes, and chronic renal failure benefit most from this remote program. This state of the art technology does not replace the home health nurse, but greatly enhances the overall care plan.
The Telehealth Monitoring Device is easy to use and takes only minutes a day. A clear, friendly voice prompts the patient and walks them through the daily health check.
Telehealth Benefits:
  • Provides daily knowledge of patient’s health staus and enhances the ability to identify trends.
  • Prevents unnecessary hospitalizations or emergency room visits
  • Encourages adherence to the prescribed care plan.
  • Improves patients ability to stay independent and in the home.
  • Provides patients peace of mind that their health status is being monitored.

Palliative Care

Dealing with the symptoms of any painful or serious illness is difficult.  However, Wilshire Home Health provides special care to make you more comfortable.  It's called palliative (pal-lee-uh-tiv) care.  You receive palliative care at the same time that you’re receiving treatments for you illness.  It’s primary purpose is to relieve the pain and other symptoms you are experiencing and improve your quality of life.

Palliative care provides relief from distressing symptoms including pain, shortness of breath, fatigue, constipation, nausea, loss of appetite, problems with sleep and many other symptoms.  It can also help you deal with the side effects of the medical treatments you’re receiving.  Most importantly, palliative care can help improve your quality of life.

Wilshires Home Health’s Palliative Care Program is different than hospice care.
Palliative care is available to you at any time during your illness.  You can receive palliative care at the same time you receive treatment that’s meant to cure you illness.  The goal is to make you as comfortable as possible and improve the quality of you life.
